Focus and Scope

Bangladesh Journal of Medical Education is an official journal of Association of Medical Education (AME), Bangladesh It is both online and print version edition journal and published half yearly (January & July). The journal promotes health professionals education/ medical education and research.

Peer Review Process

Hard copy and soft copy of articles submitted to the editorial board of BJME are reviewed firstly by one of the Editors. Article which does not meet editorial criteria, or methodically inconsistent; or does not have originality will be rejected. Primary reviewing by one editor will also reject article that fail to provide sufficient ethical approval where required and that article  will be sent back for revision prior to any review if they do not comply with Journal style policy aims and objectives.

Articles which pass the Editorial review will be sent to -reviewers and will be reviewed by at least two external reviewers. Reviewers are asked to consider whether the article contains new research findings or information; is relevant to any issues of medical/health professionals educations is scientifically, methodologically & technically sound and is presented suitably.

Publication Frequency

Bangladesh Journal of Medical Education is published twice a year in January and July.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Management Team of the Journal

Bangladesh Journal of Medical education (BJME) is published by Association for Medical Education (AME) Bangladesh. Executive Editor is the chief of the journal in management. Managing editor of BJME as per guidance of executive editor mange day to day activities of the journal. Members of the editorial board review the articles. Combined board of the executive editor, managing editor and members of the editorial board take decisions for the betterment and improvement of BJME and  also taking suggestions from Chief Patron President AME Bangladesh & members of the advisory board.

Allegations of Misconduct

If any allegation of misconduct (eg plagiarism, falsification/ fabrication of data etc.) comes to the journal authority after receiving it journal management team take initiative to check its accuracy and authenticity and take decision and inform the concerned author and take necessary action as per journal policy.

If any conflict of interest arise between or among the editors, author, reviewers or anybody or organization about any event it will be then discuss in the journal management team as per journal policy to resolve.

Basic policy of the journal is that the conflict of interest will be handled and managed within, through with and by the members of the journal management team.

Plagiarism

 All articles submitted to the Journal are checked for plagiarism with the Crossref Similarity Check software powered by Turnitine

Complaints Process

If any author or anybody wants to complain about any event of the journal they submit it at the online complain box.

Conflicts of Interest 

Author/s should declare conflict of interest if any before submission the article. Conflict of interest should be mentioned at the end of the article.

Authorship criteria 

 Journal follow the authorship criteria of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The authors are those who can write a specific section of the research and take public responsibility for its contents during any allegation.

A single contribution is not adequate to justify authorship e.g the acquisition of funding, providing laboratory space, instrumentation, unusual materials, supervision position of a research group, involvement in patients or animal care, providing patient samples, the collection of data, statistical analysis, editing assistance, proof reading or editing of manuscripts, editors, statisticians, medical writers or translators. Their contribution can be rewarded in the acknowledge section.

Author Contribution

 Should be mentioned at the end of the article.

Authors Fees 

Till today the author(s) do not need to pay any fees for submission for processing of manuscript and or for publishing.

Revenue Sources 

No fee is taken from the authors. The revenue source of the journal is the Association for Medical Education (AME) Bangladesh.

Subscription Paper

BJME does not publish any article/paper by paying subscription/fees
