Focus and Scope
The Journal of the Medical College for Women & Hospital (JMCWH) publishes quality scientific articles, which deals with aspects of clinical, academic or investigative medicine or research. Emphasis is given on subject related to medicine and biomedical sciences in our country. The journal publishes original articles, case reports, and review articles, letters to the editor, editorials, annotations and short/special communications.
Review Process
At the time of submission of manuscripts, the corresponding author is required to sign a copyright form. For original scientific work, the ethical approval for the work granted by an ethical review committee is checked by the editor in chief of this journal. The corresponding author is required to mention if there is any conflict of interest for the manuscript being submitted. The manuscripts that are found to be suitable as per scientific standards are primarily selected. These then undergo the process of review in which the manuscript is sent forward to two/three peer reviewers who are experts in the fields related to subject of the article. The reviewers may take about 10days but on request may take 14 days to submit the review report (of the article. It is double-blinded process. Once the feedback from the reviewers are obtained, their comments are forwarded to the author of correspondence for necessary change/amendments suggested by reviewers. The process of authors doing necessary correction is repeated till the reviewers and editors are satisfied. The entire review process including submission of corrected manuscript by author is needed to be completed within 21 days however corresponding author may be given an additional 7 days to complete the corrections upon request. The editor-in-chief makes the final decision on including a submission for publication.
Publication Frequency
Journal of the Medical College for Women & Hospital (JMCWH) is published twice in a year (June and December) two issues (one volume) each year.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Article Processing Fees
Our journal is free to everyone. Full text of all the contents is always available. There is no article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges. Our readers can copy, distribute, and use their attributed research for non-commercial purpose free of charge. Our journal retains copyright of the articles through a Creative Commons Attribution- NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
