All the title compounds were assessed for their in<em>-vivo </em>anti-depressant activity by tail suspension test (TST) and forced swimming test (FST) methods. Compound <strong>3a </strong>was found to exhibit moderate antidepressant activity in comparison to standard Imipramine.
