Abstract

Reactions of ortho-, meta- and para-xylenes with benzyl chloride in the presence of anhydrous aluminium chloride as catalyst have been studied. The effects of variation of temperature, molar ratio of xylene to benzyl chloride, amount of catalyst and reaction time on the reactions have been investigated. Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind.
