Focus and Scope
Eastern Medical College Journal (EMCJ) is published twice a year in January and July. It is an open access Journal. Every effort is always made by the Editorial Board to avoid any inaccurate or misleading information from appearing in the Eastern Medical College Journal. Information within the individual article is the responsibility of its author(s). Eastern Medical College Journal and/or its Editorial Board accept no liability whatsoever for the consequences of any such inaccurate and misleading information, opinion and statement.
Review Process
Original articles, review articles, case reports and other manuscripts submitted to Eastern Medical College Journal (EMCJ) are peer-reviewed. Primary screening of the submitted manuscript is done by the EMCJ editorial board. In this primary level submitted manuscripts are checked for different sections written according to the EMCJ journal style or not, any data duplication and plagiarism. Submitted manuscripts are also checked for typographical mistakes, English language and grammar. Manuscripts with major errors like inappropriate topic & content, data duplication, plagiarism and gross language & grammatical mistakes are rejected. Primary screening usually takes one week to complete. Primarily selected manuscripts are then sent to two external reviewers following the double-blind peer-review where the reviewers and authors’ names are not disclosed to each other. Three weeks’ time given to the external reviewers to complete the review. According to the EMCJ internal editorial board and external reviewers’ comment, corresponding author of the submitted manuscript is requested to correct it and send it again to EMCJ. After receiving corrected manuscript from the corresponding author final publisher version of the manuscript is prepared with formatted text and proper placement of figure(s), table(s) & others.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Article Processing Fees
Our journal is free to everyone. Full text of all the contents is always available. There is no article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges. Our readers can copy, distribute, and use their attributed research for non-commercial purpose free of charge. Our journal retains copyright of the articles through a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0).
