Larsen Syndrome in a Newborn

Larsen syndrome, a congenital genetic disorder of collagen formation, is reported in a female newborn. The affected newborn has presented with dish like facies, multiple joint dislocations, gross hypotonia, cleft palate, spatulated thumb and fingers. Diagnosis is made on the basis of positive family history, remarkable clinical features and characteristics radiological findings. This rare syndrome is the first case report so far in Bangladesh.
