Headache is a frequent health problem in children and adolescents. It is estimated that headache occurs in around 70% of adolescents and 25% of younger children. This ranks headache and migraine in the top five health problems of childhood. Headache in children is often considered as an excuse to abstain from studies and school; and thus not taken seriously by adults. This article highlights the importance of headache in children and provides evidence based treatment guidelines in this group of patient. (J Bangladesh Coll Phys Surg 2007; 25 : 77-85)Downloads
