About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Bio-Science (J. Bio-Sci.), established by the Institute of Biological Sciences (IBSc) under the University of Rajshahi, is committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in the broad field of Biological Sciences. Since its inception in 1993, the journal has served as a distinguished platform for the dissemination of high-quality, original research and comprehensive review articles.

Our aim is to foster the global exchange of innovative ideas and significant scientific discoveries in both basic and applied branches of Biological Sciences. We particularly encourage submissions that bridge diverse biological sciences filed including biology, biotechnology, genetic engineering, environmental science, and with health-related sectors, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of modern research. As a double-blind peer-reviewed journal, we uphold the highest standards of scholarly integrity and rigor, ensuring that each publication contributes meaningfully to the scientific community. The Journal of Bio-Science publishes two issues per year. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive and accessible forum for researchers worldwide, striving to enhance our international visibility and impact through indexing in major global databases.

The Journal of Bio-Science employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scientific research. The steps in the peer review process are as follows:

1. Initial Submission

  • Upon submission, the manuscript is checked for compliance with the journal's guidelines and initial quality standards.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

The manuscript is sent to two specialized subject reviewers within 14 days of submission.

7. Publication

  • Accepted manuscripts are processed for publication in the next available issue of the journal.
