Focus and Scope

UITS Journal of Science & Engineering (UITSJSE) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and engineering research in the global arena. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academicians, scientists, professionals, and students to publish high-quality original research articles, review papers, theoretical studies, methodological contributions, case studies, and technical reports in the fields of science, engineering, information technology, and related disciplines. UITSJSE aims to promote the dissemination of innovative ideas, emerging technologies, and evidence-based findings that contribute to scientific and societal development. The journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, contemporizes and ingenuity in its scrutiny. Its continuous endeavour to maintain the high criterion formulates a prolific value, disseminates a multifaceted application and culminates a correlated consequence in academia and research realms. It, being an annual journal, maintains a fixed time frame to complete its publication process. In the worldwide empirical progress, it is devoted to consecrating the published articles in purpose to impact international focuses, scopes and rankings.

UITSJSE is one of the journals published by the UITS Research Center. UITS Research Center is a dedicated center of the University of Information Technology and Sciences for research, innovation and global outlook. Its pivotal focus is to take initiatives to inspire and conduct high quality research plans, activities and outcomes in the fields of academia and research. It promises to challenge, change and ramify the global research gaps to earn sustainable development. 

 Guide to Reviewers (General Instructions): 

1. Reviewers should go through the whole manuscript with special emphasis on methods, analyses, figures, tables, findings, arguments, and the overall clarity of the presentation with standard and errorless linguistic expressions.
2. Considering the Review Reports provided, reviewers should critically analyze all specific sections and the key concepts of the manuscript so that the authors may correctly understand and address the points recommended for revisions.
3. In case of suggestions for improvement of the manuscript, reviewers can recommend citations of work that are highly relevant with the reviewed manuscript.
4. They will maintain a neutral tone and focus on providing constructive criticisms using most relevant comments that might help authors improve their work. Derogatory comments are highly discouraged from the reviewers.
5. Reviewers must not use any AI assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to review submissions and/or to prepare peer review reports. They are solely responsible for the content of their reports and are bound to maintain the double-blind peer review ethics and confidentiality during the review process.

Publication Frequency

University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) is published once in a year (December, one volume) each year. 

Open Access Policy

UITS Journal of Science & Engineering (UITSJSE) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Full text of all the contents is always available on the UITS website and BanglaJOL. The readers of this journal can copy, distribute, and use their attributed research for non-commercial purposes free of charge. The journal retains copyright of the articles through a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY).

Article Processing Fees

Starting from 2026, this journal charges TK. 3000 as Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee covers the external review expense only.

APCs for international authors is USD 30.

The authors are obligated to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) as a part of the publication process. 

Payment of APC can be completed through Bank Transfer (for both Bangladeshi and International authors). The authors are requested to complete the payment after their articles are accepted for publication.   

Source of Support

University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) will bear the costs of DOI (Digital Object Identifier) registration, article similarity checking through Drillbit, internal/editorial review, final layout and publication of the journal in print and online.
