About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Bangladesh Journal of Plant Breeding and Genetics (BJPBG) is the official publication of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Society of Bangladesh (PBGSB). The main objective is to promote exchange of scientific studies and research information on genetics and breeding of plants by presenting new findings and achievements. The journal publishes full-length original manuscripts, review articles and short communications by nationally and internationally recognized scientists, covering all areas of plant breeding, plant genetics, cytology, quantitative genetics, genomics, molecular genetics, biotechnology and genetic resources. The BJPBG is a peer-reviewed journal with two issues being published every year (June and December) in English by the Chief Editor on behalf of Bangladesh Journal of Plant Breeding and Genetics.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts are examined by the editorial staff prior to send to reviewers based on the scope of Bangladesh Journal of Plant Breeding and Genetics (BJPBG). BJPBG follows a single blinded peer review process to ensure unbiased editorial decision. Decisions regarding the publication of a manuscript are based on the Editorial Board's recommendations.
Publication Frequency
The journal publishes two issues a year in June and December.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
