Lipopolysaccharide Binding Protein (LBP) like activity has now been identified in ovine lung lavage fluids and in this study LBP has been purified from lung lavage using fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) system. On sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide electrophoresis, ovine LBP demonstrated a single band with a molecular mass of 60 kD. Ovine LBP showed a high fluorescence with FITC-LPS in human monocyte.Downloads
